This guide will explain how to set up your cPanel created email account in the Android Gmail app.

New Account

  1. Gmail App -> Settings -> Add Account -> Personal (IMAP/POP) -> Next
  2. Enter your email address -> Next
  3. Choose IMAP or POP; if you’re not sure, you should select IMAP. For more information on the differences between IMAP and POP.
  4. Enter your email password -> Next

Incoming Mail Settings

IMAP:

Username: Your full email address ([email protected])
Password: Your email account password
Server: mail.domain.com (replace domain.com with your domain)
Port: 993
Security Type: SSL/TLS

POP3:

Username: Your full email address ([email protected])
Password: Your email account password
Server: mail.domain.com (replace domain.com with your domain)
Port: 993
Security Type: SSL/TLS

After everything is filled in, click next.

Outgoing Mail Settings

Make sure “Require Sign-in” is selected.

Username: Your full email address ([email protected])
Password: Your email account password
Server: mail.domain.com (replace domain.com with your domain)
Port: 465 / 587
Security Type: SSL/TLS

If you chose IMAP, you should be using Port 465. If you chose POP, you should be using Port 587.

After you’ve entered outgoing mail settings, click Next.

That’s all, your email account is set on Gmail app.
